At Mikroravi, patients whose dental services are partially or fully covered by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund must pay a visit fee.
The visit fee is added to each invoice along with the provided services.
Starting from January 1, 2024, the dental care benefit for insured adults will increase to €60 (with a 50% co-payment). The benefit will also increase for patients with special dental care needs, including pregnant women, mothers of children under 1 year old, people with partial or full work incapacity, retirees, and others. The benefit will rise from €85 to €105, while the co-payment will decrease from 15% to 12.5%.
This benefit can only be used in dental clinics that have a contract with the Estonian Health Insurance Fund.
The amount of the benefit and the remaining balance can be checked on the state portal www.eesti.ee under the service “Dental and Prosthetic Services Information”.
The benefit applies only to essential dental services. Any treatments that are not included in the compensation list must be paid for according to the clinic’s price list. Additionally, the clinic has the right to charge a visit fee of up to €5 (except for pregnant women).
The compensated amount is automatically deducted from the invoice at the time of payment, so the patient does not need to submit any documents or applications to the Health Insurance Fund.
