Is dental treatment painful?

How long does a filling last?
It depends on the size and location of the filling and your oral hygiene. A modern composite filling lasts an average of 5–10 years. A ceramic inlay often lasts 15–20+ years.
What is the difference between a composite and a ceramic filling?
A composite filling is made by the dentist in a single visit directly in the mouth. A ceramic inlay (Inlay/Onlay) is made by a dental technician in a laboratory and is significantly stronger, more precise and more resistant to wear and discolouration. It is the best choice for large defects.
My old filling fell out. What should I do?
Book an appointment as soon as possible. Even if the tooth doesn’t hurt, it is exposed to bacteria and can deteriorate very quickly or require root canal treatment.
